She bites her lips.
Holds back the tears.
Inside she grips
all her fears.
Reality sets in
her world gives way.
She sees the sin
starts to pray.
It doesnt work
she soon finds out
and with a jerk
shes lost in doubt.
The world she views
is now alone
and with that news
she sees her home.
She was so young
she couldnt see
the dark amoung.
The hate and greed.
Now thats all
that she knows
and from the fall
her darkness grows.

I wrote this thinking about when I was a kid and my eyes were covered by innocense...then it broke between 8 and 12, and I saw the world as it sometimes is... with greed, hate, death, abuse, mistrust...ect.
